“2015 is a landmark year, marking the first time that display ad investments will outstrip search ad spending.”

eMarketer’s US Ad Spending Q1 2015 forecast is out, and it appears the growth in Online Display Spending has not stopped: “Display ad expenditures will total $27.05 billion this year—$1.39 billion higher than search ad investments and a 21.8% increase over 2014.”
